Wynyard Quarter is undergoing one of the largest urban regenerations in New Zealand as we open up more of Auckland’s waterfront.

We’ve already seen so much of the area change over the past few years and there is more to come to complete the transformation.

In coming months, Auckland Transport will begin major road works in Wynyard Quarter as part of street, stormwater and wastewater upgrades.

On 7 April 2015, in preparation for the start of construction, Hawkins will begin investigative work on the roads, with full construction commencing on 20 April 2015.

Due to the extent of the works, road closures will be required on Halsey and Gaunt streets in the vicinity of the Fonterra building construction site. This will take effect from 20 April 2015 through to mid-2016. Please note, access to Wynyard Quarter from Fanshawe Street will be via Daldy Street.

Please plan for delays and follow suggested detours when traveling to and around Wynyard Quarter. We encourage you to consider coming by foot, bike or public transport.

Please also factor in extra time into your commute via the 010 and City Link services during this construction time. The Auckland Dockline Tram will be off the road throughout the duration of the works.

Hours of work:
Monday – Friday – 7am-7pm
Saturdays 7am – 1pm
Sundays – No works

We thank you for your patience as these works get underway.
