Wynyard Quarter’s Innovation Precinct has expanded with coworking company Generator taking up residence in the new purpose-built 12 Madden Street.
Ambitious entrepreneurs, from startups to small and medium-sized enterprises and corporates are being encouraged to join the innovation revolution by basing themselves from Generator at 12 Madden Street.
The newly opened five-floor building has been purpose built to offer the latest in flexible coworking space and at capacity can house up to 500 businesses. 12 Madden Street offers an agile and exciting environment from collaborative workspaces to meeting rooms and social areas and state-of-the-art broadband and audio visual technology.
This is an exciting milestone for the commercial development of the Innovation Precinct in Wynyard Quarter, marking two years since the GridAKL initiative was launched by Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED), partnering with landowner Panuku Development Auckland and Precinct Properties to develop the commercial space.
To celebrate the opening of Generator at 12 Madden Street, the Innovation Precinct hosted a one day public festival of innovation, including keynote speakers, workshops and activations and demonstrations.
The event has been heralded as “The beginning of a new chapter in Auckland’s technology-driven, innovation-led future” “inspiring” and “world-leading” by those who attended. See more here.
