Getting to and from Wynyard Quarter

Wynyard Quarter is a neighbourhood in the heart of Auckland's city centre waterfront. There are a multitude of different transport options available so you can come to and from with ease.

Update – 28.03.2024

Please note, due to significant preventative maintenance work underway, the bridge is closed until late 2024.

This may impact pedestrians’ journeys coming from the downtown/viaduct area, including Quay Street, Waitematā train station (Britomart) and the downtown ferry terminal.

The alternative pedestrian route is around Viaduct Harbour, or you can catch the frequent City Link bus on Customs Street.

For commuters coming from the downtown side, the City Link bus may be the most convenient alternative option, as you can get a free transfer if you tag onto an additional bus journey within 30 minutes of tagging off your previous journey.
