This September, Park Hyatt Auckland celebrates its fifth anniversary—a milestone that reflects both resilience and vision on our city’s waterfront.
Opening in 2020 during the height of global uncertainty, Park Hyatt Auckland quickly established itself as one of Aotearoa’s most celebrated destinations, recognised internationally for redefining luxury hospitality while staying true to the spirit of Tāmaki Makaurau.
Over the past five years, the hotel has become more than a place to stay. It has been a gathering point for our city—hosting weddings, corporate events, milestone celebrations, and welcoming visitors from around the world. From the culinary creativity of Executive Chef Brent Martin and his team, to its ongoing support of local artisans and producers, Park Hyatt Auckland has played a key role in shaping the vibrancy of our waterfront.

As Park Hyatt Auckland marks five years, it also honours the people and community who have been part of its journey: the passionate team who opened during uncertain times, the loyal guests who have returned time and again, and the partners and artisans who bring the essence of Aotearoa to life.
Park Hyatt Auckland’s anniversary is more than a celebration of luxury—it’s a celebration of place, community, and the role the waterfront plays in shaping experiences for both residents and visitors.
We congratulate Park Hyatt Auckland on this milestone and look forward to many more years of creativity, connection, and excellence on the Waitematā.
