The Wynyard Crossing Bridge is temporarily closed

The Wynyard Crossing Bridge is temporarily closed hero image

The Wynyard Crossing Bridge is undergoing unplanned maintenance due to a technical fault with one of its core parts. To keep everyone safe, it will be in the upright position closed to pedestrians until further notice.

Our teams are working hard to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Until normal operations resume, take the detour route around the Viaduct Harbour (see map below), or you could jump on a bike or e-scooter.

Bus services

  • The City Link Bus service runs every 7 to 8 minutes from approx. 6:00am to midnight, 7 days a week. Stops include: Wynyard Quarter, Britomart, Queen St, Auckland Town Hall, Pitt St, Myers Park and Karangahape Rd.
  • The 75 service runs every 15 minutes all day, and up to 30 minutes at other times, 7 days a week, connecting Midtown to Wynyard Quarter, and Remuera Road with Auckland City Hospital.
